iOs app development

a glimpse into our lives

David and his Gibson Les Paul

Our family, Christmas of 2015

David & his daughter Cadence helping him work on Classic Game Tools App.

When not cranking out code or whipping up new visuals I can be found playing guitar, snapping around with a camera and spending time with family and friends. We live in beautiful Holland, Michigan, USA and really enjoy [most of] the weather here. We love the people and the community and the relationships that we have formed and are so incredibly thankful for everything that God has allowed us to be a part of.

The wacky side of my wife's photography business

Thanks so much for checking out our site and taking a look around! I'm David. My wife is Cara and my children are Zeke, Lex and Cadence.

The creative bug has always been in our blood! For as long as I can remember I've enjoyed drawing and sketching and designing and Cara as well has always had the creative bug in her. Aspiring at a young age to pursue traditional animation / painting and movie production and is currently settled into a very successful photography career, (Awakened Images Photography), which we started in 2005.

I worked for many years for a large company working with structured database's using Transact-SQL and designing business grade reports using Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services, working to iterate barcode scanning systems and advanced inventory control solutions. The team that I worked with there was absolutely AMAZING!

During that time I learned so much and I gained an intense interest in programming and visual presentations. There is something about being able to speak and write your ideas into existence and seeing that affect other peoples quality of life that I think is really amazing!

In 2014 I began my journey into iOS Development using Xcode and the Swift programming language and absolutely love the entire process involved with software development.

Programming allows me to have great quality time with my family and still pursue a career that I really enjoy. My family really enjoys seeing the process as well and I can design apps that my kids can use and enjoy and help create.

It is such a blessing to get to do what I do.

I'm going to keep moving forward, learning as much as I can in the realm of computer science and pushing my abilities in the graphics world.
